Payments Marketplace (accessible at payments-marketplace.com) is operated by Payments Marketplace Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your business and personal data. Our pre-flight assessment technology is specifically designed with privacy-first principles: pre-vetting checks run in-browser against live rules without creating public credit or underwriting decline records.

3. Information We Collect
We collect and process the following categories of data when you use Payments Marketplace:
- Business Profile & Operating Attributes: Industry category, country of incorporation, monthly processing volume, settlement currency, time in business, prior processing history, and chargeback ratios.
- Website & KYB Readiness Signals: Verification parameters regarding website policy disclosures (T&Cs, refund policies, SSL, billing descriptors) and document availability checklist status. If you provide a website URL, our servers fetch and review the publicly available pages of that site to verify these signals.
- Email Address: Collected when you verify your email to view pre-flight results. Your business profile is stored against this address so you can return to it later.
- Contact Information (Optional): Corporate identity details if you choose to submit an indicative profile to a chosen Payment Service Provider (PSP).
- Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, and session diagnostics for security and site reliability.
4. Pre-Flight Confidentiality & Redaction Guarantee
When performing a pre-flight check on Payments Marketplace, your profile is transmitted securely to our servers, scored against provider acceptance parameters, and stored against your verified email address. It is not shared with any Payment Service Provider (PSP) at this stage. When you elect to share an indicative profile with a PSP:
- Your legal business name, specific URL/domain, and owner identity are strictly redacted.
- Only de-identified aggregate attributes (e.g. industry class, volume band, country, and readiness scores) are transmitted alongside a randomized reference ID.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data under the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Legitimate Interests: To provide instant pre-flight scoring, match Merchant profiles against PSP acceptance parameters, and prevent application friction.
- Consent: Where you explicitly instruct us to forward an anonymised or identified profile to a selected Payment Service Provider.
- Legal Compliance: Where required to satisfy statutory or regulatory obligations.
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your information for marketing purposes under any circumstances. Data is shared exclusively with accredited Payment Service Providers (PSPs) that you explicitly select during the application workflow.
